因中国对澳洲发出旅游警示, 澳元汇价受到影响
继早前中国文化及旅游部，对澳洲发出旅游警示，建议中国游客切勿前往澳洲旅游後。中国教育部周二(9 日) 亦於网站发文指，於新冠肺炎疫情扩散蔓延势头未得到有效控制前，国际旅行及开放校园均存在风险。加上，澳洲发生多宗针对亚裔的歧视事件，故发布 2020 年第 1 号的留学预警，提醒广大留学生应做好风险评估，并谨慎选择到澳洲留学。消息重燃市场对中澳关系交恶的担忧，拖累澳元汇价从 11 个月高位作出调整。
美国联储局放宽Main Street贷款计划的条件
美国联储局主席鲍威尔表示，局方将放宽主街(Main Street)贷款计划的条件，由最初规定的最低贷款额度由 50 万美元降至 25 万美元，最高额度会因企业而异，但可能由之前的 2 亿美元增加至 3 亿美元。另外，贷款期限由 4 年延长至 5 年。同时，亦鼓励金融机构在注册加入计划後，立即向中小企业放贷，这有助支持中小企业，作好准备复工复产及重新雇用工人，并促进经济复苏。
