據知情人士透露，美國證券會（SEC）擬允許首只比特幣期貨(ETF)交易，SEC不太可能阻止這支ETF下周開始交易，因為這次提交的申請與以往不一樣，這次的提議是基於期貨合約，並根據SEC主席Gary Gensler曾提到的可提供「重要投資者保護」的共同基金規則備案。
這個舉動或再度帶領炒作加密貨幣的潮流，因現時各大機構正預估美國股市會出現10%至20%的調整，而如這個比特幣期貨ETF推行的話，正正可以吸納了想避開這次回調風險的資金。順帶推動這個新金融衍生品的熱度吸引更多散戶跟進。
