英伦银行于议息会议后，宣布维持利率 0.1%及规模 8,950 亿英镑的买债计划不变，符合市场预期。会后声明指，现有货币政策仍然合适，并预期年内经济或有望迅速恢复，而随着经济活动增加，经济中的闲置产能将会消除。此外，央行又指目前适宜为有需要时实施负利率作准备。不过，表明最少 6 个月内不会实施负利率。而受收紧限制措施防疫影响，央行下调本年经济增长预测由前值的7.25%下调至5%，并指经济及通胀仍远低于目标，故已准备好采取进一步行动以协助经济复苏及确保通胀重上2%目标。
