中國對國內的鐵礦石現貨市場進行調查
中國國家發改委及市場監管總局專員周一前往北京鐵礦石交易中心，對鐵礦石現貨市場收交易情況進行調查，並召開專題座談會，研究做好鐵礦石等大宗商品價格穩定工作。發改委指出，鐵礦石價格大幅上升並持續高企，增加中下游產業的經營壓力，引起社會各方高度關注。故將密切關注現貨交易價格變化，及調查有否異常交易及惡意炒作行為，若一旦發現壟斷、發布虛假信息、抬價、囤積等行為，將依法予以嚴厲處分。
鮑威爾再次釋放鴿派的論調
在周二，鮑威爾出席國會聽證會並持續釋放偏向鴿派的論調。他仍然淡化市場對通脹的擔憂，對就業市場前景抱持樂觀態度。他並且強調，美聯儲不會先發制人般地升息，減碼購債規模將依據數據而定。他在會內重申通脹暫時性後，而且否認美國將重演1970年代惡性通脹災難。除不會先發制人地升息，鮑威爾也表示勞動力短缺是由于臨時因素所造成，包括停校、疫情恐懼、失業補助金等。而提到自身任期，鮑威爾的美聯儲主席任期將在明年2月結束，屆時新美聯儲主席將由拜登挑選，并由參議院確認。白宮近期對鮑威爾連任與否持續避而不談，民主黨眾議員Maxine Waters則公開表態，稱贊鮑威爾支援財政方案和提供緊急信貸設施的方式令人滿意。鮑威爾發表講話之際，美元指數下跌0.20%至91.733。而截至香港時間08時12分，美元指數微幅走高0.01%，至91.737，仍無法重新回歸到92門檻上方。
