加拿大央行行長麥克勒姆表示，若暫時性的價格壓力持續存在，而且看起來更加持久，央行將採取行動以冷卻通脹。當地 7 月年通脹率意外回升至 3.7%，創 2011 年 5 月以來高位，遠高於央行2%的目標。言論增加市場對加央行或有望早於聯儲局開展加息週期，帶動加元匯價從近 9 個月低位大幅反彈。

中國河南省商丘市昨日(24 日) 出現一宗本土新冠病毒感染個案，未能延續本土零確診情況。中國工程院院士張伯禮表示，月底將是本土疫情完全受控的關鍵時刻。並認為在嚴格管控的情況下適當放開，中秋及十一國慶假期，市民應可正常出行，惟防疫不能懈怠，否則疫情或會出現局部爆發。內地疫情呈受控跡象，有助緩和市場對內地經濟增長放緩的擔憂。
