美國總統拜登上週六(3月26日)在波蘭演說時說俄羅斯總統普京「不可繼續掌權」(cannot remain in power)，引起一陣嘩然，不但俄方嚴正抗議，連部分歐洲盟友也不認同。回到家鄉，民調顯示美國選民對拜登的認同度一路往下墜，民主黨今(2022)年期中選舉恐怕有場硬仗要打。Fortune、CNBC、The Hill等外電報導，美聯社及芝加哥大學旗下NORC(美國最大獨立社會研究組織之一)上週四釋出的最新民調顯示，僅34%的美國人認可拜登處理經濟議題的表現、另外高達65%不認可，而這通常是選民最關注的議題。不只如此，拜登失言風波也令北約(NATO)同盟首度出現裂痕。包括法國、德國在內的部分西歐盟國，對於如何對抗俄羅斯比美國更顯謹慎。法國總統馬克宏(Emanuel Macron)表示，拜登的評論增加了俄烏衝突的化解難度。
