新西兰央行副行长指为新冠病毒疫情做好措施
新西兰央行副行长巴斯坎德(Geoff Bascand)表示，当地新冠病毒疫情若真的死灰复燃，将对经济前景将带来很大的威胁，届时，央行将不得不考虑推出更多刺激措施，有可能采用负利率以及降低贷款成本的工具组合，以进一步压低融资成本。因应新西兰新冠病毒病例重现，使当地连续 102 天无感染病例纪录被终结。政府本周已迅速於最大城市奥克兰实施封锁措施，并在全国重新实施社交距离规定，以阻止疫情蔓延。
民主党指特朗普的新冠疫情纾困方案是「幻想」
美国总统特朗普表示，民主党不愿意就新纾困计划谈判，因其拒绝对方「荒谬」及与新冠疫情无关的开支要求。至於民主党方面，则反指共和党坚持一万亿美元的规模拒绝让步。白宫与民主党领袖自上周五谈判破裂後，一直没有开会再讨论新纾困计划，并继续互相指责。虽然总统特朗普上周六签署行政令，绕过国会，延长部分纾困措施，但有民主党议员指特朗普行动违法，且指「缩水版」的新冠疫情纾困方案，只是「幻想」，而不是持久的解决方案。市场对纾困方案的不明朗性加剧，使美汇反弹乏力。
