欧央行维持所有货币政策不变
议息会後，欧央行如预期维持所有货币政策不变。在其声明中，欧央行行长拉加德指，受疫情及不同国家的禁令影响，区内经济的复苏步伐仍是相当不稳定。不过如与 7 月当时的议息会相比，数字上却显示出现今经济确有所好转。现在欧央行估计区内今年经济将收缩 8%，这明显相较 7 月当时估计有机会收缩 8.7%有所改善。至於市场最关心的汇率问题，拉加德指会上曾作出讨论，并指会密切注视汇率变化对通胀带来的影响(强欧元可压抑入口价格，从而压低通胀)，但就指出欧央行不会有政策专门针对汇率变化。对此，市场认为拉加德在汇率问题上，其言论相对温和。
如英国无协议下脱欧, 英国无需执行与欧盟达成的协议
对於英国国会立例指，倘英国一旦在无协议下脱欧，英国将可不再需要执行於今年 1 月与欧盟达成的协议一事，欧盟正计划对英国采取法律行动，不过任何法律行动实际上也无济於事，因为也难於今年底英国脱欧前得到裁决。而经过昨晚欧盟与英国官员的谈判，欧盟强烈谴责英国有关做法，要求英国把有关条款废除，但遭到英国拒绝。欧盟指，正为英国在无协议脱欧下作好一切准备。鉴於市场对英国无协议下脱欧的忧虑加深，使英镑汇价显着受压。
