欧央行首席经济学家连恩於网站发表文章表示，在新冠病毒疫情影响下，欧元区经济前景仍高度不确定，故从第二季经济数据中得出经济强力复苏的结论是不明智的，并强调目前经济发展仍处於低迷状态。此外，其预期目前离经济达完全复苏仍需要相当长的时间，故央行有必要提供的刺激措施。连恩对区内经济前景显得审慎，使市场对欧元区经济复苏的乐观情绪略为降温。
美国7 月私人职位增加比市场原先预期低
美国 7 月人力资源服务公司(ADP) 私人职位仅增加 16.7 万份，远不及市场原先预期的 150 万份。期内，产品制造行业的职位增加 1 千份，建筑业职位则减少 8 千份，制造业增加 1 万份，而服务业职位则增加 16.6 万份。美国小非农新增职位大幅低於预期，使市场对即将於周五公布的官方就业数字感到担忧。
