澳洲央行行長預計澳洲第三季的經濟將受到打擊
澳洲央行行長洛威表示，Delta 變種病毒肆虐正推遲經濟復蘇步伐，幾乎沒有貨幣政策可抵消第三、四季度需求所受到的打擊，並預期第三季 GDP 按季將至少收縮 2%，失業率將觸及 5 年高位。不過，經濟並沒有脫軌，預期第四季將回復增長，且復蘇趨勢將持續到 2022 年。此外，洛威指出，其他國家利率可能會上升，但澳洲國內的因素有所不同，由於薪資增長緩慢，不太可能在 2024 年之前上調基準利率。
英國失業率續降至 4.6%
截至 7 月份至9月份期間，英國按國際勞工組織(ILO)標準計算的失業率續降至 4.6%，創去年 6 月以來低位，較前值下降 0.1 個百份點，符合市場預期。同期，總就業人口續增加 18.3 萬，為連續增加第五個月，增幅高於市場預期的 17.8 萬，前值為 9.5 萬。至於薪資方面，每周平均薪資按年增長 8.3%，高於市場預期及前值分別為增長 8.2%及 8.8%。至於不包括獎金在內的薪資則增長 6.8%，符合市場預期，前值為增長 7.3%。強勁的就業數字，或有助增加市場對經濟復蘇的信心，同時亦顯示疫情對就業市場造成的長期損害或較預期為輕。
