【美国突然宣布减息1%】
美国联储局今早突然宣布，委员们以 9:1 票数通过紧急大幅减息 1%，将联邦基金利率目标范围下调 0%至 0.25%，重回 2008 年低点，而且承诺会保持这个利率，直至有信心美国经济能抵受新冠病毒 疫情冲击。此外，局方亦重启量宽，指未来数月将购买 5,000 亿美元国债及 2,000 亿美元按揭抵押 证券，并承诺将所有到期後债券再作投资。对於近期美元流动性紧张，联储局将联同欧央行等五间央 行，下调美元互换协议的利率 0.25%，以确保全球美元流动性充裕。联储局的紧急行动，暂未见为 市场带来稳定，相反，却增加市场对新冠病毒疫扰乱全球经济的担忧，市场避险情绪短期续带动美汇 表现。不过，美联储行动其中一个确的相信是降低美元吸引力。
【同时加拿大宣布减息半厘!】
加拿大央行於上周五突宣布紧急减息半厘，将官方利率下调至 0.75%，是央行继 3 月 4 日後第二次 减息，合共减息 1%。央行声明指，是次不在计划中的行动，是鉴於来新冠病毒疫情对该国经济的负 面影响，以及近期油价急跌而做出的主动措施，并指将於下月 25 日的议息会上，公布更多有关最新 国内及全球经济展望。同时，加拿大财长表示，将动用 100 亿加元向商界提供信贷支援， 以及推出 更多财政刺激方案。
