美国食品及药物管理局计划批准使用未完成新冠肺炎疫苗
美国食品及药物管理局局长哈恩於接受英国《金融时报》访问时表示，局方正计划批准使用未完成第三阶段的新冠肺炎疫苗，当局已准备好透过紧急授权，批准使用未完成第三阶段临床测试的新冠肺炎疫苗。目前美国有两款疫苗进入了第三阶段测试，至九月中还有两款。为了证实疫苗安全，药厂往往要招募最少三万人接受测试，市场认为跳过第三阶段临床测试并不安全。但哈恩强调疫苗只会授权特定群组使用，而不是全面批准使用。换言之，疫苗仍远未到可全民普及使用阶段。
美国联储局副主席指单纯失业率回落, 不足以形成加息条件
美国联储局副主席克拉里达却出席经济论坛时表示，单纯失业率回落，但通胀未能维持或预期升温至2%的目标水平以上，於联储局的新货币政策框架下，仍不足以形成加息条件。此外，克拉里达亦不认为负利率是具吸引力的政策，言论暗示局方不倾向实行负息政策，且於新货币政策框架下，未来局方加息的门槛将相当之高。
