美國1 萬億美元基建方案獲參議院通過
拜登政府的 1 萬億美元基建方案在參議院投票下終獲成功通過。下一步，這方案必須重回眾議院審批，才能讓總統拜登簽署成為法案。由於眾議院是由民主黨操控，所以料到通過機會較大。在這方案當中，有1,100億美元是會用於建設高速公路，660 億美元用以興建鐵路，650 億美元用以建電網，650 億美元用以建寬頻設施，550 億美元用以建水管道設施等。而方案將會分 5 年內執行。而下一步，拜登政府將要著手推出另一總值 3.5 萬億美元的「人民基建計劃」(human infrastructure bill) 。
巴西7 月份的通脹高於巴西央行所定下通脹目標
新興市場大國巴西昨晚公布 7 月以消費物價指數衡量的通脹數字，該數字按月按年分別大升 0.96%及 8.99%。其年增長率遠高於巴西央行所定下的 3.75%通脹目標。回觀 6 月份其年增長率為8.35%。上述數字公布後，巴西央行隨即警告會把官方息率於下個月提升一厘以壓抑通脹。而巴西央行的承諾正給予巴西貨幣雷亞爾不少支持。
