英國疫情續漸受控
英國政府公布，截至周一(8 日) 當地新增確診新冠病毒人口續回落至 4,712 人，是去年 9 月以來首見低於 5,000 人。另外，當地疫苗接種亦見加速，據政府數字顯示，當地已超過 2,200 萬即約 3 分之 1 人口至少接種第一劑疫苗。英國本周已實行第一階段解封，即英格蘭地區近百萬學童及青少年已可回返校復課。英國疫情持續受控，正增掘市場對當地經濟有望從 300 年以來最大的衰退中快速復蘇的憧憬。
日本第 4 季GDP 增幅低於初值
日本公布去年第 4 季國內生產總值(GDP)終值增長向下修訂至 11.7%，增幅低於初值的 12.7，但為連續第 2 季出現雙位數字增長。不過，日本 1 月份家庭支出按年則意外下跌 6.1%，跌幅大於市場預期的下跌 2.1%，前值為下跌 0.6%，反映於疫情限制措施之下，正嚴重打擊市民消費意欲。上周，日本首相菅義偉將東京地區的緊急狀態延長至 3 月 21 日，使市場憂慮當地首季經濟於缺乏內需支持下，可能會出現大幅放緩情況。
