评级机构惠誉将日本评级展望从「稳定」下调至「负面」
评级机构惠誉维持日本於「A」级水平不变，但将评级展望从「稳定」下调至「负面」，意味有机会调低评级。因日本政府为遏制新冠病毒疫情，未来财政赤字及公共债务将会大幅增加。此外，惠誉预期，日本 2020 年 GDP 按年将会收缩 5%，而至 2021 年则会反弹至增长 3.2%，而最快可需能要到2021 年末季，才有望恢复到疫情前的水平。受疫情及中美纷争影响，当地经济持续疲弱，若再加上日圆升值因素，可算是雪上加霜。这难怪日本央行副总裁雨宫正佳周三表示，若央行进一步放宽货币政策，不排除再下调负利率的可能性，此举或有助压止资金流入日圆作避险用途。
美国联储局维持利率不变
美国联储局於议息会议後，宣布维持利率不变，符合市场预期。会後声明指，美国经济活动及就业近月已增加，但仍远低於年初水平。并预期疫情短期内将会严重影响经济活动丶就业及通胀前景，且对中期前景构成相当大风险。局方认为经济前景很大程度取决於疫情发展，重申利率将维持於现水平，直至局方有信心经济已经克服疫情为止。此外，主席鲍威尔更指疫情拖低通胀，多项贷款计划包括针对小型企业和企业债，可能会维持一段较长时间。言论增加市场对局方或有待政府财政刺激方案明朗化後，最快将於 9 月宣布再度放宽政策的机率。
