欧盟计划设立7,500 亿欧元的复苏基金
欧盟委员会主席冯德莱恩宣布，欧盟计划设立总额达 7,500 亿欧元的复苏基金，作为支持新冠危机後的欧洲经济。据《彭博》报道，基金内的 5,000 亿欧元将会以援助金方式，分配给成员国，其馀 2,500 亿欧元会用作贷款。意大利和西班牙将会收到援助连贷款合共超过 3,100 亿欧元，是 27 个成员国中最多。若消息属实，则可作为欧盟各国重新团结的一个象徵。
美国四月初至 5 月中的经济活动急剧下滑
美国联储局发表有「褐皮书」之称的地区经济报告，显示所有分区的经济活动於四月初至 5 月中普遍急剧下滑。受社交距离和禁闭措施影响，整体就业明显减少，但更大问题是很多失业人仕面对疫情不明朗因素，暂不愿重投劳工市场。至於商界对前景仍偏向悲观，虽然部分行业有好转迹象，且企业亦相信放宽社交限制後，经济活动有望回升，但由於前仍存高度不明朗性，故未相信经济会迅速复苏
