電子商務Amazon與信用卡巨頭Visa進行和解。Amazon1月17日表示，將撤銷先前停止接受英國Visa信用卡的決定，並試圖解決雙方的手續費用糾紛。CNN、《華爾街日報》等外媒報導，2021年11月，Amazon向消費者宣佈，自2022年1月19日起，Amazon.co.uk將停止接受Visa信用卡，理由是Visa針對信用卡交易收取的交換手續費(interchange fee)過高。Visa當時表示，對Amazon此舉十分失望，將盡力與Amazon達成共識。不過，此事在最後期限前出現轉機。Amazon1月17日透過電子郵件聲明表示，將與Visa進行協商，消費者在此期間可繼續在Amazon.co.uk上使用Visa信用卡。信用卡交換手續費費率由Visa設定，當消費者使用Visa信用卡進行購買交易時，由商家支付給發卡機構，通常以每筆交易的百分比計算。Amazon與Visa的爭議起源於，歐盟對這類特定費用設有上限，但在英國2020年12月31日徹底脫離歐盟後，Visa將交換手續費從0.3%大幅調高到1.5%，讓Amazon對此深感不滿。報導指出，Amazon等電商平台高度依賴信用卡及其他數位支付方式，對成本的敏感度本就高，手續費成本墊高，導致獲利能力有壓。Visa、萬事達卡(Mastercard)等信用卡組織通常對電子商務平台收取更高的手續費，原因是電子商務平台容易發生電子商務欺詐，造成信用卡公司的財務損失。
