EIA上周原油庫存減幅少於市場預期
美國能源信息署(EIA) 公布，上周原油庫存減少 44.7 萬桶，減幅少於市場預期的 127.1 萬桶，前周為增加 362.6 萬桶。期內，汽油庫存減少 140 萬桶，市場原先預期為減少 165.7 萬桶。至於蒸餾油庫存則增加 176.6 萬桶，遠高於市場預期的減少 47.2 萬桶。美國原油庫存降幅較預期少，加上美國 CNBC 報導，拜登政府將呼籲 OPEC 及產油聯盟增產，以遏制不斷攀升的油價。上述消息均限油價表現，紐約油價(WTI)暫徘徊於 69 美元水平。
美國7月消費者物價增幅有放緩現象出現
美國勞工部表示，消費者物價指數(CPI)繼6月上升0.9%之後，上月又上升了0.5%。7月CPI同比上升5.4%。按月通脹升幅是15個月來最大。美國7月CPI增幅放緩，儘管按年率計算仍處於13年高位，且有初步跡象顯示，隨著經濟適應了疫情導致的供應鏈中斷，通脹已見頂。扣除波動性較大的食品和能源成分，核心CPI繼6月上升0.9%之後，又上升了0.3%。這是四個月來的最小升幅，也是核心CPI自2月以來的首次減速。
