The chairman of the Federal Reserve will address the Finance Committee of Congress for three consecutive days
Starting today, Fed President Powell will go to the Finance Committee of Congress for three consecutive days to explain his views on the latest US economic situation. But Powell revealed his speech earlier than yesterday. Powell reiterated that the Federal Reserve will do its best to maintain an easy monetary policy to ensure economic recovery. Because Powell’s remarks are similar to the statement he made at the Fed’s meeting last week. So it lacks new ideas for the market. Let us pay attention to Powell’s speech in the next three days to see if he gives new inspiration to future monetary policy.

The House of Representatives will vote on the Provisional Government Appropriations Bill today
The Democrats of the U.S. House of Representatives introduced the provisional government appropriations bill, which does not include the $30 billion in agricultural subsidies pursued by the White House. Therefore, they did not receive the support of the White House and Republicans in the Senate, and the government is at risk of shutting down. On September 22 (today), the bill will be voted on in the House of Representatives. Senate Majority Leader McConnell said that if there is no assistance to farmers, the bill should be rejected.
