The increase in non-agricultural jobs in the United States in November was significantly lower than market expectations
In the United States, non-agricultural jobs only increased by 245,000 in November, which was significantly lower than market expectations of 469,000. The increase was slowing for the fifth consecutive month, especially when November was the traditional peak season for Thanksgiving. The data reflects that dragged down by the rebound of the new crown virus epidemic, the recovery of the local labor market is slowing down significantly. During the same period, the US unemployment rate was 6.7%, which was better than market expectations and previous values of 6.8% and 6.9%, respectively, but it was mainly affected by the drop in labor force participation rate to 61.5%. Although the US employment data is not as good as expected, it has not caused much concern for the market. It seems that the market has certain expectations that the US government will soon launch a new round of relief programs.
