4月27日Twitter股價大跌2%,主因是投資人擔心,Tesla執行長馬斯克(Elon Musk)可能會支付10億美元的天價「分手費」(termination fee),放棄以440億美元收購Twitter。系統報價顯示,27日Twitter(TWTR.US)股價重挫2.09%、收48.64美元,較馬斯克的收購價54.20美元低了11%。這項交易正在等待股東同意及美國主管機關核准。《Barron’s》報導,部分特斯拉投資人不樂觀見到馬斯克收購Twitter,理由是這會讓馬斯克分心多職、分散注意力。馬斯克出資每股54.20美元現金、總價440億美元收購Twitter,並獲得Twitter董事會同意,但投資人擔憂他可能被迫賣股籌資。馬斯克已將價值600億美元的特斯拉股票作為抵押品向銀行申請融資,約佔其持股的三分之一。根據26日公佈的收購條件,若馬斯克未能完成併收購交易,必須支付10億美元的分手費給Twitter,以彌補買方違約帶給賣方的損失。市場開始猜測,如果特斯拉股價下跌,導致馬斯克無法取得足夠資金,有可能會決定退出交易。
