加拿大銀行於議息會議後，維持指標利率 0.25%不變，且維持每周資產購買規模最少 40 億加元。央行聲明指，於疫情及相應限制措施下，當地經濟活動較預期有活力，預期首季經濟將出現正增長，而不是前值預測的收縮。不過，新冠病毒變種對未來經濟活動構成最大風險。此外，又預期未來幾個月，當地通脹可能會暫時升至 1-3％的目標區間頂部，主要反映去年物價低基數效應及汽油價格上升等短期因素。
