俄羅斯傳媒報導，據盧甘斯克人民共和國駐聯合停火控制與協調中心(JCCC) 指出，烏克蘭昨天 (17 日)凌晨時分向自行宣布獨立的盧甘斯克人民共和國，合共五個地區發重迫擊砲及手榴彈攻擊，嚴重違反「明斯克亅停戰協議。至於烏克蘭軍方則否認有關攻擊指控，反指是親俄武裝組織炮擊政府軍。烏克蘭東部邊境傳出開火消息，令市場對地緣緊張局勢擔憂再度升級，戰事一觸即發，帶動金價大幅隨即攀升一度突破 1,900 美元水平。
