【拜登与桑德斯充竞争民主党总统提名人激烈】
美国民主党总统提名战的关键初选「超级星期二」结果陆续公开，前副总统拜登获得南部非裔选民支 持，在 14 个州和属地的初选中，胜出至少 9 个，包括拥有第二多丶228 张党代表票的德州。至於拜 登的主要对手丶佛蒙特州参议员桑德斯就赢得 3 个州，并在最大票仓丶拥有 415 张党代表票的加州 领先。至於另外三名参选人丶纽约前市长彭博丶马萨诸塞州女参议员沃伦和联邦众议员伽巴德，表现则未如理想。据美国 BBC 推算，连同早前举行的初选，拜登合共取得超过 450 张党代表票，反超前之前一直领先的桑德斯的约 370 张，亦即民主党总统提名人很大机会由拜登与桑德斯缠斗至七月举 行民主党全国党代表大会才能分出胜负。
【黄金因”超级星期二”下跌10美元】
周三因美国ADP数据好於预期，市场对於美联储降息预期降温，且拜登在”超级星期二”优势扩大提振了美国股市，因此这使得黄金一度回落近10美元。但是市场仍押全球央行降息步伐加快。同时因公共卫生事件影响，多国下调了经济预期也打击了市场对於经济复苏的预期。分析人士表示，在全球宽松之际，黄金可能短时间继续充当获取流动性的工具，因此限制涨幅，但是从历史数据看，这往往为更大的上涨做了铺垫。
