於周二(18 日)議息會上，日央行如預期維持所有貨幣政策不變，息率保留於-0.1%，及 10 年債息於零水平等。在其聲明中，日央行行長黑田東彥預期當地通脹就是到今年底，也將只維持於約1% 水平，加上相信現今推升通脹主要是來自一些短暫因素，如環球商品價格上升。所以他認為暫無必要收緊貨幣政策。對於日圓匯價，他堅持弱日圓有利日本經濟的看法。他的言論隨即令日圓投資者失望。
