美国 FDA批准使用新型冠状病毒康复者的血浆作为治疗方法
美国食品及药物管理局(FDA)周日(23 日)宣布，批准使用新型冠状病毒康复者的血浆，作为治疗该病的方法，并发出紧急使用许可。 FDA 於声明中表示，血浆疗法可能有效治疗新冠病毒，其已知和潜在的好处大於风险，并指出已有超过 7 万名新冠病毒患者用过血浆疗法。不过，此疗法的有效程度仍受部份国外专家所质疑，甚至警告血浆疗法可能会产生副作用「血清病」，严重者或会导致器官衰竭。
新西兰将延长当地三级封锁措施多一星期
新西兰总理阿德恩周一 (24 日) 宣布，将延长当地三级封锁措施有效期最少一个星期，包括强制民众在公共交通工具戴口罩。受疫情封锁措施影响，新西兰本年第二季零售销按年大跌 14.2%，结束连季上升走势，是 25 年来最大跌幅。市场估计，於封锁限制下，每周将造成约 4.4 亿新西兰元的经济损失，相等於年 GDP 的 0.15%。若封锁措施短期内未能解除，势将对当地经济造成重大冲击。
