美国联储局容许「平均通胀」高於 2%
美国联储局主席鲍威尔於 Jackson Hole 举行的全球央行银行家年会上表示，为确保经济增长，局方将容许「平均通胀」於一段时间内高於 2%目标。然而，局方并不会用任何特定的方法绑定「平均通胀」的定义，且有关政策亦不会由任何公式来决定，且长远而言，联储局仍会维持平均 2%的通胀。一旦通胀升至高於目标水平，局方将毫不犹豫地采取行动。
国家统计局公布工业企业实现利润连续第三个月增长
国家统计局公布，内地 7 月全国规模以上工业企业实现利润按年增长 19.6%至总额 5895.1 亿元人民币，增幅较 6月加快 8.1 个百分点，且是连续第三个月增长。期内，於被统计的 41 个工业大类行业当中，有 32 个行业利润实现增长，数量比上月增加 9 个，反映出利润改善的节奏较 6 月份加快。国统局表示，随着统筹推进疫情防控和经济社会发展一系列政策措施落实落细，工业经济运行状况持续向好，使企业利润延续快速恢复性的增长趋势。
