美國 4 月消費物價指數(CPI) 按年上升 8.3%，較前值回落 0.2 個百分點，市場預期為 8.1%。當中，能源及汽油價格按年升幅分別放緩至 30.3%及 43.6%。二手汽車價格按年升幅亦大幅放緩至22.7%。而食品價格按年續升至 9.4%，續創 41 年以來高位。至於扣除食品及能源的核心 CPI 按年上升 6.2%，較前值回落 0.3 個百分點，且為連續三個月升幅收窄，惟不及市場預期的 6%。美國通脹雖出現見頂跡象，但放緩速度不及市場預期，短期內或難以改變聯儲局加速收緊貨幣政策的步伐。
