美國 1 月消費物價指數(CPI) 按年續升至 7.5%，創 40 年以來新高，高於市場預期的 7.3%，前值為 7%。若按月計算，CPI 則上升 0.6%，升幅亦高於市場預期的 0.4%。期內，扣除食品及能源的核心CPI 按年上升 6%，升幅略高過預期的 5.9%，亦創近 40 年新高。若按月計算，核心 CPI 則上升0.6%，升幅略高過市場預期的 0.5%。美國通脹雖高，但帶動通脹的汽油、能源價格升幅則見放緩，按年升幅分別為 40%及 27%，至於二手車和卡車價格則持續反彈，按年上升 40.5%，於季節性因素調整之下，成為推動通脹的主因。
