联储局维持息率0% – 0.25%水平
经过两天的议息会後，联储局保持联邦储备基金息率不变於 0% – 0.25%水平，并承诺会维持低 息政策一段长时间，及在有需要时继续无限量买债。在联储局主席鲍威尔的声明中，他完全无提出走负息率的可能性。对於经济前景的看法，鲍威尔预期美国第二季 GDP 会进一步较首季经济收缩 4.8%情况要差，且不排除於下周五(5 月 8 日) 公布的 3 月份失业率有机会出现双位数字。似乎负息只是市场一厢情愿的想法，联储局根本没有此计划。
意大利将陆续复工
本周一(4 日)起，意大利的工厂将会重开，而德国的学校丶博物馆及教堂亦会重开。英国方面， 将於本周内公布重启经济的时间表。虽面对疫情，但据英国太阳报指，英国国际贸易大臣 Liz Truss将於本周与美国贸易代表莱特希泽透过视像开会，讨论英美双边贸易问题。过去一个月， 由於疫情关系，有关谈判因而停止。
