SpaceX執行長伊隆馬斯克(Elon Musk)週日(11月14日)推文表示，隨著人類達到新的高度，登陸月球的人員名單很快就會增加許多。美國累計有12名太空人曾經登月、當中8人已過世。Thomson Reuters報導，美國國家航空暨太空總署(NASA)署長Bill Nelson 11月9日在記者會上表示，官司訴訟讓NASA浪費了將近7個月的時間，這意味著人類重返月球的時間點可能會推遲至2025年、較原定時間延後一年。Market Insider 10月20日報導，以知名分析師Adam Jonas為首的摩根士丹利研究團隊指出，SpaceX最終可能成為全球估值最高的企業，馬斯克可能因而成為全球第一位擁有上兆美元身價富豪。
